Install additional language for Cisco Unity Express on SRE module

Here is how to Install additional language for Cisco Unity Express on SRE module. While we were working Cisco Unity Express Auto Attendant configuration, we need an additional languages for call tree.

 

Notes,

Cisco Unity Express version 8.6.9
SRE : ISM-SRE-300-K9

 

1.  Package files.

– You need a file is called "cue-vm-langpack.sme.8.6.9.pkg" which is not on the list of download area from Cisco website.  You must download whole package file which is under cisco download website / Unity Express Complete installation files Set-8.6.9.

Also, you need to have actual language packs which you can download from Cisco website download page such as;

 

Cisco website downloads Home > Products > Unified Communications > Unified Communications Applications > Messaging > Unity Express > Unity Express Version 8.6 > Unity Express Language packages

 

2. FTP server

– You need a FTP server can be reached from CLI mode (on CUE module / SRE).

– Upload below files

1. cue-vm-langpack.sme.8.6.9.pkg
2. cue-vm-es_CO-langpack.sme.8.6.9.prt1 ; Latin American Spanish in this example

 

3. Install

Warning ; Be aware of CUE/SRE will be reloaded during installation.

 

– From CUE CLI mode

CUE# software install add url ftp://x.x.x.x/cue-vm-langpack.sme.8.6.9.pkg username John password Hello
