How to start traffic sniffing using Wireshark for beginner

As a network engineer, if you are familiar with one of  sniffing tools, it would be big plus on your troubleshooting path. If you never try but it was always in your mind, start right now. It is not easy to learn at the beginning, but once you get used to it, it gives you more clean view of how protocol  works. No pain, no gain. As you noticed, I always introduce an open-source based product rather than something you need to pay for it. WireShark is well-known sniffing tools in the market. Personally, I used to have few commercial version of sniffing software(and hardware), which is nice and expensive, but WireShark provides most if function they have.
